Dr. Larry I. Good is a distinguished gastroenterologist with over four decades of clinical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University in 1969, graduating magna cum laude, and his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 1973, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Following his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina from 1973 to 1976, Dr. Good completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System between 1976 and 1978.
Throughout his career, Dr. Good has held several prominent positions, including serving as the Director of Liver Diseases at Nassau County Medical Center and as Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at South Nassau Communities Hospital. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook.
In 2014, Dr. Good founded Good Pharmaceutical Development Co., LLC, where he serves as CEO. The company focuses on developing topical products for treating neuropathic pain and has introduced phytocannabinoid-based products, including a topical cream, a topical patch, and an oral tincture for managing irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr. Good's research interests encompass the intestinal microbiome, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and the application of orally administered gamma globulin to gastrointestinal disorders. He has served as Chief Medical Officer at Ritter Pharmaceuticals in Los Angeles, contributing to the development of novel treatments for lactose intolerance.
An active contributor to medical literature, Dr. Good has authored numerous papers and abstracts and has delivered lectures at various conferences, including the prestigious ACG Theater lecture at the American College of Gastroenterology annual meeting in 2014. He also serves as an editor for BMC Gastroenterology, a peer-reviewed medical journal.
In addition to his research and entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Good maintains an active medical practice in Lynbrook, New York, offering consultative gastroenterology, endoscopic services, and a concierge internal medicine practice. He is affiliated with Mount Sinai South Nassau and continues to accept new patients.
